Blade rushed to Klein's side, and cracked his knuckles, drawing one of his pistols. The three men stood their ground. Blade pulled the hammer back on his gun, "Well gentlemen.." he looked at the generals. "Whenever you're ready."

DeSoto, the man with the hood stepped forward. "Ha, a big brute who wants a fight? This should be easy hahahaha!" He said, throwing his head back and laughing. "Catch me if you can!" He said running towards a nearby forest. "Blade, go after him, be careful!" Klein said. Narik stepped forward as well and Zari, the large man grunted and readied himself, drawing a large two-handed axe. Klein and the armored man stared at eachother. "So...you are Sha'luk..." Klein said circling him. The other man didnt speak. "Let's go." He said grinning, rushing at him.

Blade stopped, "Wait why am I chasing after him? Was he talking about me?" Klein shrugged, "I.. I don't know, "Big Brute" doesn't describe any of us..." Blade shook his head and smiled, "Well compared to the size of that man... a small child could be described as a big brute." Klein laughed, and nodded, "Ha, yes exactly!" Blade began to chase after him. He ran into the forest, looking for him. He heard something behind him and turned to face DeSoto. "Ah, there you are."

Before Blade could fully turn to face him, DeSoto dodged into the trees. He withdrew his Kusari-Gama from its sheath under his cloak and began to swing the ball end silently. He picked up a small stone and tossed it against a tree across the way, as Blade turned to examine the noise, DeSoto pounced out of the trees, tossing the chain of his Kusari-Gama, wrapping around his ankles and tripping him to the ground.

Blade quickly grabbed the chain wit both hands, violently pulling it. He pulled DeSoto the the ground, and pulled the sickle from his hands. Blade quickly stood up, "I was always quite fond of chained weapons." Blade dusted himself off, and put his knuckles on. "Their flaw however, potentially sacrificing a part of your weapon to the enemy." Blade stepped toward him and threw a punch, which was easily dodged by DeSoto. Blade smirked, and threw another punch to his side, followed by a strong uppercut, both hitting DeSoto on the face jarring the mask slightly, and causing him to stagger backward. "Ah, so there IS a face under that mask.." Balde smirked.

DeSoto started laughing uncontrollably. "That feels so great!" He yelled as he reajusted his mask on to his face. He regained his composure in a split second and jumped into the air, aiming a kick at Blade, hitting him in the chest and making him stumble. DeSoto then sweeped Blades legs, wrenching his weapon away. Blade struck forward with his legs and struck DeSoto in the stomach making him double over. Blade stood and punched DeSoto rapidly in the face and chest. DeSoto laughed the whole time. He reached his arm up and stopped Blade's fist with his hand, struggling to hold him back. "Hahahaha!!!" DeSoto was getting increasingly manic. "You honestly think you can hold me back?"Blade said grinning. "No...No no not at all!!! Hahahahaa!" DeSoto screamed, his voice a high bitched shriek. DeSoto smiled under his mask. He grabbed his forearm with his other hand, pressing down. Suddenly a knife shot out from below DeSoto's wrist, stabbing directly into Blades wrist. "I've got all sorts of tricks!" DeSoto yelled. He reached into his belt and pulled something out, he tossed it to the ground and a large flash appeared, making Blade cover his eyes. When he regained composure, DeSoto was nowhere to be seen.

"Blast..." Blade cursed, his eyes burning, attempting to look around for DeSoto. He heard maniacal laughing from above him, and turned looking up. He saw DeSoto leap from a tree branch with his wrist blade drawn. Blade strafed out of the way, the blade grazed his cheek, leaving a cut. Desoto cackled insanely. "That looks so good on you! Now let's pretty up my face!" DeSoto removed his mask, and took the knife to his own face, leaving two long cuts from under each of his eyes, to the bottom of his face. He licked the blood from the knife, and looked at his reflection. "I look..." He laughed insanely once again, "BEAUTIFUL!" He rushed Blade, slicing, cutting Blade's right arm, then sweeping him to the ground again. Blade stood up, and Desoto jumped on his back. He nearly plunged the blade into Blade's head, but he managed to grab Desoto's arm. He threw him off, still holding him. Blade pressed it over his knee, and snapped DeSoto's forearm. DeSoto pulled his arm away. "Ooooh Look at that!" He said holding his limped, mangled arm. He tried rushing Blade again. Blade punched him in the gut, then as he keeled over, kneed him in the jaw. DeSoto stood up and backed off, he smiled as blood pored from his mouth.(MATTIS) He grabbed something from his belt again, and almost threw it toward Blade, but he reacted instantly. He closed his eyes, and fired a shot from his gun, detonating the bomb in DeSoto's hand. DeSoto screeched as he was blinded. Blade kicked him against a tree and he slumped down to the ground against it. Blade drew his other pistol, "I hope you enjoy this as well." Blade pulled the trigger, shooting DeSoto in the head, and finally killing him. Blade caught his breathe, and sat down against a tree. He examined DeSoto's still smiling body. "He's not from around here..."

Narik looked on at the large man he was facing. "That's a pretty big axe, going be a fun time trying to move around it." Zari moved forward and swung at Narik, the force of the axe cutting several trees behind him as he charged it. Narik barely dodged and turned to see more of the trees destroyed. "Well shit, that doesn't look like it'll be good for my health.." Zari smirked when he noticed Narik observing the trees around and swung the axe again. Narik turned just in time to see it and quickly threw a dagger into Zari's arm. This stopped him from swinging the axe and Narik took the time to move back and start to study his attacks. "If I try to block one of his attacks with my swords, they would break instantly and I'd be dead meat. It does take him a bit to charge up his attacks though, those moments are my only chance at hitting him, just like I did with the dagger.." Zari tore the dagger from his arm and then threw it at Narik. It flew at a high speed and Narik almost didn't get fully out of the way. It cut him in the cheek and blood started to trickle from the wound. "Damn, looks like you have quite an arm. Explains how you are able to wield that axe so well." Narik drew his katana. "Guess I have as much as I need now to face off against you." He lifted his other arm up and motioned for Zari to attack him. "Try your axe again, I'm ready for it." Zari laughed. "You think you know everything about me now? Well then, here you go!" He ran at Narik and charged up his axe. Narik started to run at him as well and looked to see where he would swing. Zari looked as if he was going for Narik's chest, so Narik ducked down and was prepared to counter attack, but he saw that Zari had instead threw the axe into the air. He punched Narik and cause him to fly back into a tree. Zari started to walk towards him and caught the axe as it came down. "Shit, didn't see that coming.." Narik coughed as he said those words and blood fell from his mouth. Zari put the axe right on Narik and slowly lifted it up and prepared to cut him down. Right as he started to drop the axe down, Narik quickly lunged forward and stabbed Zari in the stomach with his katana. "Never get so close to your enemy, you never know if they are really finished." Narik kicked Zari back and ripped the katana out. "Now this is a more even playing field.." Narik thought to himself as he prepared himself for Zari's next attack.

Zari looked down at the blood pouring from the wound. He hefted the axe on to his shoulder with a grunt. "Not often have I been hurt." He said. He looked at Narik. "Dont think it will happen again..." He said slowly. Grabbing the handle of the axe with both hands he broke into a sprint, reaching Narik and swinging it in a wide arc. Narik dodged the blow and looked up, only to see Zari leap high into the air, holding the axe with both hands above his head, ready to bring it down upon Narik.

Narik rolled out of the way of Zari's strike, but saw that he was still running after him. "Seems like you have a lot more energy now that you've been attacked. That really doesn't make a lot of sense in my book, but sure why not?" Narik had Zari chase him further into the woods and then ran up a tree and back flipped behind Zari and sliced him in the back. Zari yelled in pain as Narik wiped the blood out his katana. "Rushing into battles also makes you a easier target, so I don't mind that either." Zari swung the axe all the way around him, taking out everything in its path. Narik ducked underneath the swings and waited for Zari to stop his attack. He stopped swinging his axe around and noticed Narik running at him with his katana ready, so Zari quickly stabbed his axe into the ground once Narik got close, blocking him off. Zari then ran passed his axe and punched Narik, knocking him away. He then pulled the axe out of the ground and resumed his charge. Narik gathered himself and saw Zari, so he looked around for anything he could use. There were several trees now all knocked over thanks to Zari and Narik got an idea. "There are two things that could happen if I try this. Either the brute will simply break through them or it will trip him up, allowing me to finish this battle. Worth a shot, I guess." Narik broke off into the other direction as Zari continued to chase after him. Narik was on the lookout for a path that would work for his plan. He then remembered that Zari had already destroyed some trees in a different area of the woods at the beginning of their fight. "After he did that, we ran for a while and eventually got over here. I even think there was a hill somewhere around there...alright then, I've got my plan." Narik looked around for the hill, while trying to keep Zari at a decent distance away. Finally, he managed to find the area they fought in previously and ran up the hill. He saw two large trees that were nearby and started to push them towards the hill. Zari was still at the base of the hill and wasn't able to see Narik. "Here we go then!" Narik kicked the two trees and then started rolling down the hill. Zari saw them, but was running to fast to stop in time. He charged up his axe and sliced the first in half, but the second hit his legs and cause him to fall. Narik quickly slid down the hill and jumped onto Zari, stabbing him in the back of the neck. "Like I said before, rushing into battle makes you a easier target. You aren't able to anticipate attacks in time and also in your case, can't really stop yourself from running." Narik ripped the blade out of Zari's neck and cleaned it off and then started to wander back to where the rest of the group was.

Klein rushed Sha'luk stabbing forward with his rapier. Before he knew what had happend his strike was parried and his stomach was met with a fierce punch. Klein doubled over and coughed. "Fast...arent we?" he said. The other man didnt speak, getting into a battle position. Klein nodded. "Man of few words, I like that." Klein said, dodging sideways as the man swung his katana in a wide arc aimed for his face. Klein stabbed forward, but his blade reflected off the plates of the man strange armor. "I don't recognize this armor..." He said. "I travel a lot, so it must be from very far away...which means so are you." Klein smirked. The man thrust his katana forward as Klein deflected the blow with his rapier. He noted gaps in the armor at the joints, as well as the neck and hips. "There we go..." He said. Klein drew one of his dirks and slashed towards the neck of Sha'Luk, the other man dodged instanly, but in that moment Klein stabbed upward into Sha'luk's shoulder with his rapier. Sha'luk grunted slightly. Sha'luk slashed with the claw on his arm, clawing across Klein's arm. Klein reeled back as Sha'luk turned and sprinted off toward the plain at the bottom of the hill. "Damnit...you coward, don't run from me!!" Klein yelled, regaining his footing and sprinting off after him.
Klein sheathed his blades, allowing him free movement. He reached around to his back, removing his bow and an arrow, he drew the string back as he ran, finding it difficult but manageable. "Aim...." He mumbled, shutting one eye. He was aiming above Sha'Luk. "And....there." He said releasing the arrow. It arced through the air and stuck into the back of Sha'Luks leg as he ran under it's path. "Gotcha!" Klein said smiling, picking up his speed as Sha'Luk slowed, removing the arrow from his leg and snapping it in half. Klein planted his foot into a rock and used the leverage to propel himself into the air, tackling into Sha'Luk as he landed, throwing them both to the ground.
Klein struggled to pin Sha'Luk's arms so he couldnt get a solid hit in. As the two rolled and struggled to gain control, Klein's grip slipped and Sha'Luk raked across Klein's face with his claw. Klein fell back clutching his face, the wound wasn't deep, but it stung and bled. "Damnit..." He said rolling backwards to his feet, drawing his dirks and circling the now standing Sha'Luk. "I can't take much more of this..." Klein thought to himself. He noticed the straps of one of Sha'luks chest armor pieces was loosened in the struggle. "Bingo." Klein said. He rushed forward as fast as he could, Sha'luk swung his claw in a wide arc, slashing Klein's chest. Klein endured the blow and slashed with both his dirks, severing the straps and allowing the armor to fall to the ground. Klein dove to the side, nearly dodging a slash of Sha'Luks katana. He stood again, readying himself.
With less armor restricting his motion, Sha'Luk was even faster, he rushed forward at Klein and stabbed him through the stomach with his katana. Klein fell to his knees. "D...damnit..." He clutched the wound in his stomach. Sha'Luk slowly walked over to him, placing the katana to his throat. Klein shook. "It ends...like this..." Klein said weakly. Sha'Luk pressed slightly, the blade slicing Kleins throat slightly, his blood trickling on to the blade. Klein smirked. "Gotcha..." He said softly. In the blink of an eye Klein drew his Rapier and drove it upward into Sha'Luk's chest, knocking him off balance and causing him to fall backwards. Klein stood weakly and planted his foot on Sha'Luks clawed arm, kicking his katana away with the other. He raised his rapier high above him and drove the blade into Sha'luk chest again, then into his shoulder to disable him. "It's over..." He sighed, looking down at the man, meeting only the gaze of the mask.
Klein bent down, removing the mask from the man, knocking away his strange helmet as well as the man struggled to get away. Klein's eyes met Sha'Luks. "Wh...what the hell..." Klein said. The man was not much of a man, a boy if anything. "You are...no..." Klein said, his grip becoming loose on the mans throat. "R....Reiner?" Klein said. The man's eyes grew wide. For the first time his voice was heard. "How do you know...my real name?" He said weakly, blood trickling from his mouth. Klein shook his head. "It's me you idiot, It's Klein." He said. The man gasped, then winced in pain. "B...brother?" He said. "I'd recognize that scar anywhere." Klein said, motioning toward the scar on Reiner's right cheek. "You got that when we fell out of the tree in the park when we were kids..." Klein said, laughing slightly despite the tears welling in his eyes. Reiner nodded. "Yes...father was so cross with us..." He said, his voice losing volume with each syllable. "But why...why are you here? Why are you in this man's army? In this armor?" Klein pleaded. "I...I wanted...to fight for freedom...freedom for all people..." Reiner said weakly. "Master Nayum...promised these people freedom from....tyranny..." He coughed as blood poured from his mouth. "The armor....I left home a few years after you left, I wanted to travel like you brother, I wanted to help the world." He laughed slightly. "A foolish dream...but it led me to many exotic places, that is where I met Nayum, and the other two, they said....they said they were forming an army of freedom, and gave me this armor, told me...told me I could help save the world." He said. Klein shook his head. "You idiot...how could you be so stupid to be swayed by that bastards lies?" He wiped his eyes. "Brother...I'm sorry." Reiner said weakly, his eyes hardly able to stay open. "Don't worry...I'm getting you out of here, I'm getting you some help, then I'm taking you home to mom and dad and our family." Klein said, having a hard time holding back his tears. Reiner nodded weakly. "They want to see you again....all but Dad." He said. "Everyone left home before me, except J...Janine." He said. "Greyson's a knight in the Imperial...Guard now..." He said. "And....and Darren is...a...lord of an estate apparently." He was losing strength fast. "Stop talking...we can speak more after we get out of here." Klein said. "Brother...Janine told me...if I ever saw you to tell you that she..." His voice was cut short as a dagger flew into his throat. He gasped for air as blood bubbled from his mouth, and his eyes shut for good. "Brother!" Klein yelled, looking up quickly.
There stood Nayum, smiling. "Useless kid..." He said with a sneer. "Silenced him for good this time..." Klein stood and glared at him. "You are going to die!!!" He yelled rushing Nayum, who simply side stepped him and laughed as Klein fell to the ground. Klein stood again, hardly able to stay upright. Nayum glanced over his shoulder and saw Blade and Narik returning in the distance. "Well my friend...have to run." Nayum said with a sneer as he turned and ran. Klein chased after him as Nayum swung atop a horse and began to gallop away. "Get...back...here." Klein couldn't keep up with the animal, especially with his wounds leaking blood. "You...you bastard...he was...my...b..." Klein's eyes clouded over as he ran. "He was my brother..." He drew his bow and weakly fired an arrow, it flew less than a foot and dropped into the dirt. Klein ran even more and tripped over a stone, landing in a puddle of water. Nayum laughed as he rode off. Klein looked up and saw him fade in the distance. The water was becoming a cloudy red from mud and his blood mixing. "Reiner....I'm so sorry...No..." Klein said as he closed his eyes. Klein passed out.

Narik and Blade approached Klein. "Seems like he passed out. This is the second time we've had to take care of him after a battle.." Narik sighed. "Whatever, let's find Amira wherever the hell she went off too and get Klein back on the ship." Blade started to lift up Klein and looked to Narik. "Did you hear what he was saying while he was running towards Nayum?" Narik shrugged as he checked behind bushes for Amira. "Not a word. Seems that he really wanted to kill him for something though..you know, besides the whole army thing." He looked up after observing the bushes and saw Amira running towards the group. "Well hello! Where the hell were you in this time of battle?" Narik asked her as him and Blade started to walk out of the forest. "I thought you guys would need help, so I went back to the ship to get some supplies." Amira stated. Narik laughed. "Well, thanks for the gesture, but we are fine. A few scratches here and there...and also an unconscious person, but we're fine." They soon made it back to the ship, Blade and Amira brought Klein down to his bed, while Narik fumbled with some maps. He saw something moving out the corner of his eye and turned to see King Hanlin and some of his guards. "So, I assume you men have kept your end of the bargin?" Narik dropped the maps and stood up. "Yes, I'd say we did. No need for a war anytime today, don't you worry." Hanlin looked over to his guards and nodded. One of them in the back came to the front with a chest and put it at Narik's feet. "A token of my appreciation. You have a safe trip wherever you are headed." The King and his guards then went down the pier. Narik looked at the chest and slightly kicked it with his foot. He heard some shaking inside of it and smiled. "Well at least it isn't empty. Guess I should wait for the others before opening it though." He then sat back down and scanned through the maps again, trying to figure out their next destination.

Amira sighed, looking down at Klein, battered and still unconscious in his bed. She smiled softly as she watched his chest gently but steadily rise and fall. Everything to help him had been done, and now it was just up to him to heal. And he would. The battle could have been much worse, and she was thankful yet again.
She left him, then, and moved to the deck, too unsatisfied and thoughtful to sleep. She looked out at the water, just watching the soft waves. She considered seeking out the company of Blade or Nark, then decided to leave them be and stick to her safe solitude, a forlorn being left to think quietly as to what would come next.
