Midway through the voyage, the ship was suddenly attacked by a large creature. While Blade and Narik went below decks to load and fire the cannons, Klein was elected to stay on deck and distract the beast.
While the beast was reeling from the cannon blasts, Klein realized the only way to stop it was to stab it in the eye. He vaulted the deck, stabbing it and falling into the sea, much to the regret of Blade and Narik.
Klein was saved by the passing raft of Mille and Malice, who promised him safe voyage to meet up with his friend despite the fact that he left them in the past. In the cover of night Blade and Narik didn't notice, but knew Klein would somehow meet up with them again.
Upon arriving in the Northern Islands, Klein realized he was on a different Island then he originally planned, and that much of his equipment was missing. Seperating from Mille and Mallice again, he looked for somewhere to replace his lost good and find a way to the other Island where he was sure his friends were.
Arriving at an equipment store, Klein realized all his money was left on the ship. Making a deal with the owner to rescue his son from some bandits in exchange for free equipment, he set off towards the ruins in the north to find his son.
Upon arriving, Klein discovered the son was a con-man, swindling people with promises of treasure maps, and some bandits had not taken kindly to this. Upon killing a few of them, Klein was soon outnumbered, but was saved by a mysterious strong man named Dias.
Sadly, Dias was a bounty hunter, there to murder the man Klein had just saved as well. Klein fought to protect him, but was soon overpowered. Feigning defeat, Klein allowed the man to close in on the son of the merchant. Sneaking up behind Dias, Klein pinned his leg into the floor with a fallen bandits sword, allowing Him and the son to escape back to town.
In town Klein recieved his reward of new equipment, as well as the money the mans son had swindled. Using this money, Klein decided to stay at an Inn, passing out from fatgue as soon as he entered.
He awoke the next day to find that a local woman has allowed him to use her bed for the night, and Blade and Narik had arrived on the island as well, reuniting the trio. They soon set off again, with the woman in tow as she wanted to see the world, for their next destination.
Soon after, Dias appeared again to get revenge on Klein, and they did battle on the deck of the ship. Blade, escorting the woman to safety and staying below to protect her. Klein facing him up close, and Narik supporting with a newly acquired long range weapon.
Dias' water shield prevented much damage, but the two found a way around it after much trouble. Just as he was about to achieve victory, Klein was brutally beaten and slashed by Dias, finally beng thrown into the way of Narik's own shot. Nearly dead, Klein fell to the deck.
Blade, hearing this came above deck to help Narik, and the two devised a cunning plan, using the ships mast and netting as a bind to hold Dias in place as they used gunpowder to blow him up and send him into the ocean, presumed dead.
Helping their fallen friend below deck, Amira, the woman from the islands, helped to stop his bleeding, but without professional care, he would surely die. Narik thought of a man he knew that owed him a favor in a town called Daygeran, and knew they could arrive in time to save Klein if they hurried. So they set off.
