Amira smiled. "I don't know if you could quite call me that," she said amiably. "I do write often, and I love doing so. Poetry, prose.. Metaphorical and philosophical ramblings, mostly. I think I understand your love for poetry, and passion for your own. It's a release, for me. An outlet... It's the same for you? I could understand a feeling of protectiveness over your work. It's so personal, and it can hurt to be criticized.."

Winston hesitated for a moment. "Yes..criticism can be very personal. Some people can just simply hide the fact that it hurts, I envy them so much." Amira looked on with interest. "You see, a while back I took the hate to my head and I stabbed a person who tried to say that I shouldn't be a poet, I tried not to do it in a vital spot, although I could have easily if I wanted too." Winston looked up to Amira after finishing and then smiled. "A poet is suppose to be somewhat of a pacifist, writing out their feelings instead of resorting to violence, but it seems as if I may be lacking in that category.."

Amira smiled sympathetically. "I don't think that a poet has to be any sort of way.. As much as it's wrong that you did that, I think I understand, too." She looked into his eyes sincerely, not sure what his confession to her meant in terms of his guilt with the murders. She tried to take a different approach.
"So, what are you writing now?" Amira asked gently. "I would love to hear about it."

Winston shrugged to Amira's request. "I haven't really been working on my latest poem much, I told people that I would release it soon, but I've had other things to attend too. If you are a fan like you said you were, I apologize for my postponing, but it's for the better." Winston paused for a moment and looked around the room. "I honestly don't enjoy trying to write a poem when there are vile things going on in the town, it just makes me nervous and unfocused. But, I must depart, I am starting to feel sick and should retire to bed." Amira looked to Winston and realized that he was just as afraid of the killer as everyone else and was only acting nervous due to that. She sighed and then proceeded to walk out and head back to the police station.
Meanwhile...
Alex arrived back at the police station and was greeted by Narik, Klein, and Blade. "No luck, eh? Guess we aren't good guessers then, my lead was a no go either." Alex walked over to where Narik was sitting and grabbed the remaining profiles and the message and started to look over them again. "I..can't let go, if the ones we went after weren't right, then one of these have to be!" Narik watched Alex's face descend to desperation. Suddenly, his expression changed and he started to smirk. "DAMN IT! We were all wrong all along. It was right here in front of us the entire time and we never noticed it!" Alex then darted out of the building and into the streets, leaving the rest of the group confused.
Klein and Blade gathered around Narik to see if they could see the thing that sparked Alex's revelation. They noticed that Alex had circled three letter of the message and then did the same to one of the profile. Narik held up the profile and the message together and was stunned. "The killer knew all this time that we would follow the leads of the actual words, but never separate letters. He fooled us this entire time, we have to go after Alex now. If this guy came up with this trick, he must have something ready in the case that we found out."

Klein turned and bolted for the door. "I'm fastest, I'll get there sooner without trying to slow down for you guys. Catch up to me!" He called as he shouldered his way out and began sprinting down the street to the home of the killer. "How could I have not noticed that!?" He thought to himself. "It was so obvious, and I let it slip right by me, the last person I would have expected..." He mumbled. He picked up his speed. "Alex you idiot, you should know not to go after someone like this without backup! Didn't you even think about what happened to your friend?" He shook his head and kept running. "Be safe damnit."

Amira sighed after Winston left, though she wasn't totally disappointed that he was innocent. While pondering over who, then, was the murderer, Amira caught sight of Klein running, speed impressive, past the bar she'd been in. She quickly raced after him, admiring his steady and graceful pace..
She called out to him, asking what had happened, though she had the idea. She knew she couldn't keep up, so she was happy when he called back to her that Alex had figured it out, and to follow him as fast as she could. She ran, then, excitement in her blood.

As Klein and Amira ran, Alex had already arrived at the home and broke open the door. He rushed up the stair and opened the door with light shining through the cracks. Inside was a room with nothing inside of it, but a chair in the back which was positioned in front of a window. The candle which lit the room stood in between Alex and the chair. A figure sat in the chair, but the light of the candle lit all but the face. "Well then, seems you've been expecting me." The figure made a audible noise, but Alex didn't catch what was said, but decided to continue. "I know what you do, who you really are. It's over, you might as well just give up. I've made sure of it that if you try to fight me, there will be others that will join in soon. I just wanted to ask you some questions before they show up. Care to cooperate?" The figure got up from the chair and walked to the candle and stood silently for a moment, before blowing out the candle, darkening the room. Alex noticed that this caused a wall to give off a odd glow and that the figure was moving towards it. "If you want to talk, you'll follow." The figure said and then pulled open the wall, revealing another room.
Alex sighed and then followed the figure. The hidden room was what Alex expected it to be. Shelves of blood vials were stored around many of the walls and in the back a open box laid with a knife inside, neatly put on a red cloth. The figure was facing the knife and Alex watched his back. "So?" The figure calmly asked. Alex leaned himself against one of the shelves and started to ponder what he should say. The aura of the room felt off to him and was starting to make him light-headed. "I guess the most important question that I want to know is why did you hint me into what you were doing. You had everything so perfect, if you didn't do the things to did, I doubt I would've ever caught you." The figure laughed. "Once you do something for so long, it starts to get dull. Especially if you're like me and try to keep the routine. I guess I just wanted an audience to see what this makes someone become." Alex lowered his head. "You're almost making it sound like you regret doing this." The figure finally turned to face Alex eye to eye. "It that what you took it for? Hm, I'm not so good at placing emotion into my words, hope you understand. Will make the rest of this conversation..easier I suppose." The man inched towards Alex while saying this. "I'd like to make this short though, I have other things to attend to." Alex smirked and got off of the shelve. "Do you really think I am going to let you walk?" The man smiled to the question. "No, but it would be nice if you did." With the end of his sentence, the man was now arm length of Alex. He started to reach for something in his pocket and Alex nervously watched, the aura of the room was getting worse and Alex felt close to fainting. "Do you like the feeling, I bet you knew the risks of entering the room that a killer tells you to go into, but your sense of justice had to make sure I wouldn't escape. Well, here I am, but something's different about the outcome that you envisioned...I'm in control now."
The man then kicked Alex in the gut and threw him to the ground. "You know, I bet you thought it was pretty funny when you went through all those profile and tried to pick the winner. Seems you have some pretty bad luck though, out of 8...of should I say 7 people, your group got all 4 guesses wrong. Or maybe it's not your luck skills and it's that I just threw you off. I mean out of all people, who would've expected Ellis, hmm? The guy that just goes around and sells hot sauce for a living. And I made these nice vials in such a way that if anyone ever came in here, they would think this was my supply of hot sauce." Alex finally got his breath back. "Let me guess, your secret ingredient is the blood?" Ellis looked disgusted by the comment. "No, why the hell would I do that? You really are bad at guessing." Ellis walked over to one of the shelves and took a vial off of it. "I was listening in to your explanation to your group when you went to my crime scene and you were basically on the dot about what these are. I used to hunt when I was a kid, taking trophy of what you kill is a common thing among hunters." Alex move his way back to his feet and stood against the door. "What about your motive? Why do you do this?" Ellis placed the vial down and looked to Alex. "That's another thing you were getting to in your explanation as well. I was quite impressed about how much you could tell about me from just a few of my kills. Yeah, I do as a job and not for enjoyment, but you not going to be leaving here, so you don't really need to know who I work for."
Alex thought through everyone that he could think of that could be the mastermind behind all of this and then remembered that Ellis knew about the dropping of one of the suspects, which was only mention to the group and other police officers. "I don't need you to tell me either because I already know. It's Gale, isn't it? I knew that bastard was up to something." Ellis clapped at Alex's observation. "That one wasn't completely right, but I have to give it up for you anyway. Gale WAS the person that let me in on the police business, but that's because I have him right here." Ellis lifted one of the floorboards and revealed Gale tied up. "He really was cooperative when I said I'd pay him, police are so corrupt nowadays, but then when I refuse to give him some hush money he said he was going to turn me in and I couldn't have that." Ellis looked up and saw that Alex was running towards him. "You overcame my aura. Guess you have stronger will power than all my previous victims." Alex then punched Ellis in the face and caused him to slide across the room. Alex untied Gale and helped him out of the floor. "Get out of here now, I can handle this." As Gale stood up and started to make for the door, a dagger flew through the room and stabbed him in the back. Alex turned to see that Ellis had pulled it from his jacket. Gale slumped to the floor in the other room and Ellis stood back up and grabbed his knife from the box. "You would've just turned Gale in to the police anyway for his corruption, I saved you the trouble. But now it's time to deal with you."
Alex moved to Gale's body and grabbed the hilt of the dagger. "Sorry about this.." He pulled it out of the wound and then started to fight with Ellis. Alex struggled maintaining the physical battle, while also trying to fight off Ellis's aura. "What the hell is up with you anyway? Why do you have this power." Alex sipped up a bit while talking and Ellis sliced his arm. "When a person is recruited into the organization I'm in, the boss gives them a special unique power. Mine happens to be that I am stronger both physically and mentally when around blood. Not only are we by my collection, but I also make sure to carry vials around with me." Alex noticed that even with the apparent boost in power, he was still keeping up with Ellis's attacks. Just then, Ellis sighed, put away his knife, and then grabbed Alex's arm. "Sorry, but I'm starting to get bored of our little game. I was going easy on you, but I forgot you said that your friends are arriving soon, guess I'll have to finish this then." Ellis twisted Alex's arm, causing him to release his dagger. Ellis grabbed the dagger before it fell and stabbed it into Alex's stomach. Alex landed on the floor and Ellis took him by the throat and brought him to the window. "And now for the finisher!" He then picked Alex up and threw him out of the window, causing him to fall to the street below.

Klein sprinted ahead, at least a block ahead of Amira and who knows how far in front of the others. He heard glass shatter in the distance. "Oh dear god..." He rounded a corner and skidded to a halt, Alex's body was on the ground. "Is...he dead?" Klein thought to himself. His eyes darted up to the window, he couldnt see who had thrown him but he had to be in there somewhere. "I can't just let him get away with this...Amira can take care of Alex." Klein ripped off his pack and dropped it next to Alex, it had healing supplies that Amira would need. He walked into the house and looked around, making sure to remain quiet, this man was a hunter so his instincts in stealth would rival Kleins. Klein silently drew one of his Dirks as he slowly made his way up the stairs.

Blade arrived shortly after Klein who had just ran inside, and knelt down over Alex who looked to be injured. "Alex! What happened, are you alright!?" Alex coughed a little, "Im..fine..this is Ellis's house, he's..he's the killer, help Klein, he's strong and Klein will need help, I'll be fine, go!" Alex sat up and Blade drew his pistol and ran inside , he saw the back of Kleins heel while he entered the second floor. Blade stopped himself at the base of the stairs. Klein's trying to take him by surprise... He may catch him, and if not I'll rush in to assist him.

Narik stood outside alongside Amira and Alex. "See, this is what happens when you recklessly run out into battle. You get stabbed and kicked out a window. You should really consider retiring after this.." Narik smirked to Alex while saying this, but was only received with an angry look. "Fine, I'll just shut up and help patch ya up."
Ellis stood over Gale's body and positioned his hand above the stab wound. Blood started to rise from Gale's body and formed into a ball in Ellis's hand and then spread and mixed into Ellis's aura. "There we go, raise the radius of my aura a bit more, gonna need it for when Alex's reinforcements show up." Ellis bent down to pick Gale up, but suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. "Well, well, well. Speak of the devil." Ellis looked over to the stairs, he couldn't see anyone there, but his aura did. He pulled his knife back out of his jacket and started to slowly walk over to the stairs.
Klein steadied himself on the stairs, he knew that Blade was now behind him for backup. He looked towards Blade and did a hand motion to signal that he was going in. Blade simply nodded and readied his pistol. Klein stepped inside and saw nothing but the opened passage with the shelves and Gale's body on the ground. "Damn it, where did he go!" Klein said under his breath. Just then, he turned his body and blocked Ellis's knife, who had just fallen from the ceiling. "Ha! You're pretty good, of course there wasn't much other places to hide anyway. I'll just chalk it up as a pass." Klein laughed at Ellis's comment. "So we're playing games, huh? Well then, let's get started with round two." Ellis smiled in response. "Yes, we shall."
Ellis then focused his aura and kicked Klein out of the way and pulled a dagger from his jacket. He ran towards the stairs and threw the dagger directly down it. Luckly, Blade had been watching the top thanks to Klein's warning and shot it out of the air. Ellis clapped his hands, but was slammed into the wall by Klein, who had recovered from the kick. "Blade! Take a shot!" Klein yelled down the stairs. Blade steadied his aim and shot. The bullet flew towards Ellis's face, but it stopped in midair. "Sorry, bullets aren't going to do the trick here. I can solidify my aura and make it act as a shield." Ellis then changed the shape of his aura to move the path of the bullet to Klein. He noticed immediately and jumped out the way just as the bullet flew at him. The bullet whizzed pass Klein and only grazed his cheek, but he noticed that the blood that came from the wound went off of his cheek and added itself to Ellis's aura. "Damn, that is going to be a problem..."

Klein thought for a moment. "The blood, that must be what is supplying this weird...aura of his." He thought to himself. "I need to get him away from it." He looked around, noticing the shattered window. "Blade!" He called, backing towards the window. "Fire again!" as Blade fired, Klein took advantage of the slight distraction and lunge at Ellis, grabbing him by the shoulders and whirling him around so his back was facing the window. "You honestly think you can out match me in strength?" Ellis said mockingly. Klein shook his head. "Im not sure but I have to try." Klein pushed away from Ellis, making him stumble slightly. Klein drew his Rapier and lunged towards him, trying to stab him multiple time, Ellis evaded each blow. Blade had finally made his way upstairs after quickly reloading one of his pistols, and was aiming at Ellis again. Klein lunged again aiming at Ellis' face, taking the moment he blocked and his vision was obscured to motion towards the broken window with his free hand, hoping Blade understood. Klein reeled back as Ellis pushed him away, he adopted a defensive stance waiting for Ellis to strike.

Blade nodded and sprinted toward Ellis just as he threw a punch at Klien who just barley dodged. Here goes nothing Blade leaped into the air, using both feet, he landed a powerful kick right into Ellis's chest, the hit would have broken an average persons ribs, but Ellis's aura protected him. The kick still caused Ellis to smash through the previously broken window and the wall and frame around it. Confused, Klein muttered "Eh..Good work?" Blade stood back up from the ground, "Heh, I honestly wasn't sure if that would work.." They nodded to each other and headed for the stairs.

Ellis landed in a alley far behind Alex. Narik and Amira watched as the dust settled and Klein and Blade walked outside. "I would say that did the trick, but knowing the people we fight with, I doubt it." Narik said, as he stood to join the battle. They saw Ellis walk out of the alley brushing his clothes of dust, but other than that he was unharmed. "That was a pretty good kick there, I have to give you that. Good enough to knock me through a wall. Lucky I didn't get to feel that without my aura." Ellis then flipped his jacket to the side and pulled three vials out of his pocket and absorbed the blood inside. This time, not only did the blood add to his aura, but Ellis's muscles also started to get larger. "I really don't have time for this, I hate that I have to waste so much blood to make this quick though.." He lifted his hand and clenched it into a fist and suddenly dashed to Narik, who was standing in front of everyone.
Narik pulled his sword out just in time to block the attack, but slid back due to the power. Klein and Blade positioned themselves to the left and right of Ellis and both attacked at the same time. The attacks hit the aura as expected and did no damage, but Klein noticed that the aura was about the same size as it was before Blade kicked Ellis out of the building. "Wait, if he took more of the blood, why is it the same size as earlier?" Narik laughed from behind the action. "Seems we know his defenses weakness now. The more damage he takes, the more of the aura is dispersed. We just have to keep attacking until he has no more to cover him." Ellis drew two knives out of his jacket as Narik finished his sentence. "You're pretty smart. You found out the flaw in my armor in such a short time. This is the first time I've ever used it in actual battle though, so I can't really compare it to any previous fights, but I'll give you a point anyway." Narik sighed and then walked to Klein and Blade's side. "I really don't like how this guy grades us during battle, so let's finish this up!"

Klein nodded. "Just keep hacking away right? That is something I can handle!" He grinned, drawing the string of his bow back, letting loose an arrow. Quickly drawing his dirks and slinging the bow over his shoulder again. He rushed straight at Ellis, swinging towards his face and ankles, attempting to at least knock him off balance enough for the others to strike.

Blade snapped on his knuckles on each of his fists and rushed in behind Klein, "Just don't let him cut you!". Klein swept for his ankles, catching one of Ellis's feet causing him to stumble backward a bit. Immediately, Blade launched a flurry of punches. He landed a hard cross with his right hand, followed by an uppercut from his left. He wound up for another punch, but Ellis' hand shot up to Blade's neck in an instant. He had Blade constricted, and with his improved strength had no problem tossing him aside. From the ground, Blade could see the aura had decreased in size. Blade laughed as he stood up. Ellis scowled, "I wouldn't laugh if I were you! I just tossed you aside like a piece of trash!" Back to his feet Blade smirked holding his arms up at his sides, "Sure, but I didn't lose a drop of blood."
